sPark It Liverpool

Update: 22nd August 2024

sParkIt Liverpool is part of Transition Liverpool which in turn is part of the Global Transition network. The Transition network has three core values and eight underlying principles to underpin and drive the rebuilding of society on a Global yet local stage.

As of August 2024, a key monthly Transition Liverpool meetup is the monthly Transition Cafe. The Transition Cafes are a joint initiative between Liverpool Quakers, Transition Liverpool, Faiths 4 Change and Wirral Environmental Network. For further information or to get involved, please email transitionliverpool@gmail.com

One tip from watching the 'Clip' video is to prepare for an elevator pitch. Being able to convey clearly the raison d'etre of your campaign and why anyone should give you funding. The next level of communication would be to practice it regularly in 'live' situations so one comes across relaxed and natural.

Alan and the Team wish sParkit Liverpool and Transition Liverpool continued success into the future....

sPARK IT LIVERPOOL's concept is very simple - take over parking spaces on a main street in Liverpool (Hope Street) for a day and fill them with 30+ independent businesses and arts organisations.

Check out the full interview, for more background information on the project, and the local and global organisation behind it.
